Extra good food from "Way South" Arizona. Tubac. Excellent meals. Excellent service. Prices about what you'd expect. We sat outside on a 75 day. Then we wandered through the shops in this artist-in-residence community. A year later, we're back after enduring a Covid year without being able to come here. It's just as good as last year. Just a tad slow - short-staffed.
Visiting nogales and stopped for some great food , and tamarindo margarita are awesome. Very quiet and good atmosphere. Must try
Very tasty and affordable margaritas of all flavors, I had tamarindo and loved it. I also had a cup of their birria soup and it was super yum, we ordered the queso fundido with mushrooms, also super super good. Highly recommend. They have a cute patio and the staff is really nice.
Love Habanero's in Tubac. Their chimichanga with cochinita pibil is addictive; lean pork with delicate yet delicious flavoring without heat, cheese in a crunchy flour tortilla. To save the crunch don't add sauce or have it served on the side. Chicken nachos very good too. Don't expect traditional Mexican restaurant refried beans, Habanero serves ala charra beans in a bowl. Very tasty and a healthier choice. Great cadillac margaritas too!
One of the best meals, not just mexican food, I've ever had . A wonderful explosion of flavors. Excellent Margherita's. Lovely and pleasant server. Will definitely come back.
Love this place. A simple but comfortable atmosphere, great Mexican food and Margarittas, and excellent friendly service. We live in the area and keep coming back.
Authentic, loved the Mexican music it had just the right vibe. The salsa was fresh made delicious as were the multicolor chips. I liked using my bowl of bean soup as a dip for the chips/salsa. The vegetarian sandwich without dairy was excellent. They subbed mushrooms for yellow summer squash. The Multigrain toast was the perfect match. Fries seemed hand cut and fresh made. Great service. Easy parking and nice view of distant mountains. Monday lunch was the perfect time to visit in preparation for Tumacacori National Park.
